After high school, he worked ir ina mine in Zeballos with his father. ‘Jn World Wor ll, Brock enlisted in the Canadian Army Medica Cons and wos ¥ stvioned in Terrace where he met the woman of his dreams; Brock and Jessie were married on Christmas Eve in 1943. Brock was then dispatched overseas for service in hospitals in Southern England. Upon Brock’s return to Conada af the war's end, he and Jessie made Terrace their home ond welcomed the arrival of their two daughters: Linda j in 1947 and Rhonda in 1951. a 7 ~ Brock’s working years were spent in the forest industry. During winter layoffs, he ited snow removal equipment for the municipality and drove taxi.
