At Villages: Monitor progress on Village Maintenance Plans; Provide advice and/or
assist with hands-on maintenance of water systems, sewer systems, roads and
culverts, Band owned buildings, Check effectiveness of maintenance operation
and record keeping; Carry out safety audits, me Toe,

Born on March 23, 1926,
Al opened his first business
in his’ early twenties in
Egremont, Alberta, then lat-
er operated Al's News in
Fort St. John and Grand
Prairie. In 1964, he and his
family settled in Terrace,
where he and Marion
owned and operated Al's
Shoes until their retirement
in 1986. Al also built: the
Almarlin office: building,
located In downtown
Terrace, during his busi-
ness career.

Starting as a teenager, Al
took an active interest in
community —affairs. For
many years he was very
active in the Lions Club
International and held the
office of District Governor
(72-73). and he received
special recognition from
Lions Care: International
and the C.N.I.B. He also
served on. Terrace City
Council, Above all, Al was a
devoted family. man and a
kind and generous friend.
He will be sorely missed.
