In daughter Verna Jordan, on the left by grand daughter Kathie Young and by great grandchildren Ashley Young and Kendal Young. That brought back memories of Pete playing in a local band which used-to perform in Usk and Remo, Daughters Irene and Sharon also sang on the local radio sta- tion on programs devoted to local talent. Musical entertainment was helped along by grandson Ken Kirschner of Vancouver, a pro- fessional musician- who has played with the Irish Rovers and worked with k.d. lang. . Saturday’s banquet featured presentations of red, yellow and pink roses to Bea by her children, grand children and great grandchildren, Other presentations for those ; family members who helped organize the event were made. One of Bea's daughters, Kay Franklin, now living in Califor- nia, was presented with a stuff- ed toy beaver to remind her of - her Canadian roots. — Pete Barnett, now passed away, first worked at Terrace Motors and then at Columbia Cellulose until retiring, Bea Barnett worked at Terraceview Lodge for 18 years, The couple were also involved in local curling activities.
