The permit fee is waived when the sign is subject to a fee under the
City's building regulation bylaw.

Every permit fee includes a $30.00 non-refundable application fee,

Bullding Permit

Issuance of a sign permit shall not exempt the sign owner or owner of the
parcel from obtaining a building permit for 4 sign structure, as required
pursuant to the City's building regulation bylaw.

Permit Issuance

Upon compliance with all requirements of this bylaw and following issuance
of any required building permit, a Building Inspector shall issue a sign
permit.

Permit Expiry and Fee Refunds

(1) A sign permit expires if the authorized work is not commenced within
six months from the date of issuance.

(2) If a sign permit expires, there shall be no refund of permit fees. A
full refund, less the plan review fee as set out in Schedule “A”,
will be made upon cancellation of a permit prior to its expiry,
provided no work has been commenced under the permit.

Ins pec tions

(1) Every person erecting, placing, displaying, altering, or moving a
gign for which a permit is required by this bylaw shall notify a
Building Inspector at least 24 hours in advance of all required
inspections.

An inspection shall be requested and obtained for every freestanding
sign after installation of footings and before conatruction of the
sign structure.
