Cost to Upgrade “Island to an Acceptable Manner

The Parke Superintendent has reviewed the situation and prepared an
estimate of the cost to upgrade the landscaped area. From his
report, you will note the coat ia $6,900.00.

Alternatives for Solving the Problem

The Committee reviewed the possibility of using park D.C.C.interest
for such a project. A report, from the City Treasurer, outlines the
reasons why Park D.C.C. interest cannot be used. The operating
budget for this year would not be able to handle this upgrade.

Therefore, the Parks & Recreation Committee has to recommend that the
money ‘be put into the 1992 operating budget and that the residents be

informed of this decision.
