From the Planning and Zoning Committee, July 26th, 1979 recomm nding
concurrence with the City Planner's report under date of July 12th, 1979
regarding the Greater Vancouver Sewerage and Drainage District Sanitary
Sewer Study for the Industrial Area as presented.

Seconded by Alderman Traboulay:

That as recommended by the Planning and Zoning Committee, July
26th, 1979 the City Planner's report under date of July 12th, 1979
regarding the Greater Vancouver Sewerage and Drainage District Sanitary

Sewer Study for the Industrial Area as presented, be approved.

Carried.
The City Engineer gave a brief explanation of the proposed work.
The City Engineer then asked Council's consideration to applying to the
Greater Vancouver Sewerage and Drainage District to begin construction
of the proposed sewer.

That the City of Port Coquitlam apply to the Greater Vancouver

Sewerage and Drainage District to begin construction of the proposed

sewer for the Industrial Area.

From the Public Works Committee, July 19th, 1979 advising of the
drainage requirements on Kingsway Avenue west of the Coquitlam River.
From the Public Works Committee, July 19th, 1979 advising of the

need for a policy on underground wiring in industrial areas.

That as recouwmended by the Public Works Committee, July 19th, 1979

underground electrical and telephone wiring shall be a requirement for

all newly created highways within industrial areas and for all existing

highways within or contiguous to industrial areas; provided that if the
subdivision consists of infill development on a highway which already
has overhead wiring adjacent to the development, underground wiring will

not be a requirement on that highway.

Prior to the question being called on the foregoing resolution

discussion ensued.
