A classical experience THE TERRACE SYMPHONY Orchestra bas a treat for audiences al their upcoming concert on March 2 Guest ‘soloist Steffan Wegner will join symphony members for an evening of classical works by Haydn and Beethoven. Wegner will perform the second move- ment of Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No, 5. Steffan was the soloist last year as well when the symphony pre- sented a Mozart concert. It’s rare for a community the size of Terrace to have a- symiphony orchestra. The TSO {nol to be confused with the Toronto Symphony Orchestra) is in its filth sea- som, A unique feature of the TSO is the wide age span of its members. The string sec- tion has five high school students and the brass sec- tion has three. This gives young people an op- portunily to leam and per- form repertoire that they might otherwise never hear.
