Al0 Terrace Review — Wednesday, March 28, 1990 Local Flight Service man ~ takes off for Kamloops Co-workers and other airport personnel and their spouses gathered in the dining room of the Inn of the West March 9 to bid farewell to Chuck Milner and his wife Judy. by Pam Whitaker Milner, who has been employed at the Flight Service station at Terrace/Kitimat Air- port for eight years, is being transferred to the Flight Service Station at Kamloops. During the course of the evening ‘“Chuck”’ was presented a ‘Kamloops sur- vival kit’ consisting, among other things of giant sunglasses and a floating alligator with a mug that fits nicely into its stomach for use in their swimm- ing pool. Best © ‘presentation of all though, was a bronzed roll of ticker tape — the kind they use at the Flight Service Station. Capping it was a pigeon. Co- workers had tried to find an aeroplane on an eagle to put on top but to no avail. There was an Legion braces for an active April Contributed by Peter Crompion It appears April will be a very busy month at Branch 13. If the turnout for our steak dinner on March 2 was an in- dication of its popularity (107 turned out), then the one on April 6 should be great. If you like good piano playing, make a date for the next steak night April 6. The newcomer to our branch is quite the player. At our last general meeting the members voted to purchase a new bar from Manual’s. We hope to install this along with the new flooring our ladies pur- chased for us, sometime in April. It will require us to shut down our operation for about four days. If you have some carpentry, pipefitting or elec- trical knowledge we would like to see you there for the installa- tion. The floors of both bath- rooms, entrance, and cloakroom are to be done also. Come May, our branch should look a little different. We still are in need of voiun- teers for the upcoming Loggers’ Legion ladies meet, plan Contributed The Ladies’ Auxiliary to the Royal Canadian Legion Br. 13, held their general meeting for March, starting with a very delicious pot luck dinner.
