Toronto Argonauts, behind
an outstanding first-half
performance by

' quarterback Chuck Ealey,

won their first exhibition
game of the season with a
28-9 decision over Ottawa
Rough Riders in an Eastern
Football Conference contest
Thursday night.

Toronto, which had scored
just one touchdown in the
first three season games,
looked impressive on both
offence and defence as the
handed the sluggish Roug
Riders their second pre-
season loss before 39,804

Gordon Bradley has
resigned as coach of New
York Cosmos and has been
replaced by Eddie Firmani,
the North American Soccer
League team announced
Thursday,

Firmani, who resigned

signed a three-year contrac
with the team which
currently holds first place in
the Eastern Division of the
