PAGE 6, THE HERALD, Friday, July 6, 1977 Ealey leads Argonauts TORONTO (CP) -— Toronto Argonauts, behind an outstanding first-half performance by ' quarterback Chuck Ealey, won their first exhibition game of the season with a 28-9 decision over Ottawa Rough Riders in an Eastern Football Conference contest Thursday night. Toronto, which had scored just one touchdown in the first three season games, looked impressive on both offence and defence as the handed the sluggish Roug Riders their second pre- season loss before 39,804 fans at Exhibition Stadium. BOSTON (AP) — Carlton Fisk drove in three runs with a homer and a sacrifice fly and Jim Rice drilled three hits, including his 20th homer,.as Boston Red Sox completed a threegame series sweep over Toronto -Blue Jays with a 5-2 American League baseball © victory Thursday night.
