RECOMMENDATION ;

That Council approve an extension of Rezoning Application 90/92 for a
period of one year, commencing February 15, 1994, subject to payment of a fee
of $544.08 as per the provisions of the "Development Procedures Bylaw, 1987,
No. 2243".

BACKGROUND AND DISCUSSION:

The subject application is for the rezoning of 2475 Ottawa Street from A~-1
(Agricultural) to RS~l (Large Lot Residential) and RS-2 (Small Lot
Residential) to permit the creation of 7 single family lots. Zoning Amendment
Bylaw No. 2757 for this application received Third Reading on February 15,
1993.

The applicant has submitted the attached letter indicating that the
requirements for completion of the application are not likely to be fulfilled
before February 15, 1994. The applicant is therefore requesting an extension
of one year to continue work on the project.

Section 6 (a) of “Development Procedures Bylaw, 1987, No. 2243" states
that "any Bylaw not adopted by Council within one year from the date the
proposed Bylaw was given Third Reading, shall not be considered for adoption
unless Council extends the time for consideration of adoption for a period of
up to one year from the initial one year period and an additional fee ... is
paid."
