THE CORPORATION OF THE CITY OF PORT COQUITLAM BYLAW NO. 2579 Mm A Bylaw to Amend the Traffic Regulation Byia “APR & = 199 APR 15 198% The Municipal Council of the Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam, in open meeting assembled, enacts as follows: l. The “Traffic Regulation Bylaw, 1971, No. 1117" is amended by adding, after Section 305, the following as Seetion 306: "306. Notwithstanding Section 301 of this Bylaw, the City Engineer may make orders directing the placement of stop signs in any ‘location in the City where a stop sign oF other traffic control device has not been placed pursuant to Schedule "B" of this Bylaw. Not less. than 14 days prior to the placement of any atop sign under this Section, the City Engineer shall report the intended placement. of the stop sign to the Public Works Committee of Council." . 2, Sections 503 and 504 are repealed and the following substituted: "503. No person shall take part in any procession on 4 highway in the City unless that proceseion is under the control of a person acting as marshal or organizer. 504. No person shall take part in any procession on a highway in the City unless a written permit for the precession has been issued to the marshal. or organizer, pursuant Co an order, of the City Engineer authorizing the procession. In making an order granting @ permit for the regulation and control of a procession on a highway, the City Engineer shali set out the date and times at which the procession is authorized, the place of formation or commencement of the procession, the route which may be followed by the procession and the point of conclusion of the procession. Not: less than 14 days prior to the intended date of the procession, the City Engineer shall advise the Public Works Committee of Couneil of the proposed procession. The City Engineer may rescind or amend an order made with respect to a permit in the event that the safety or convenience of the public may be affected by conditions arising after issuance of the permit. (e) No person shall act in a manner contrary to any terms of an order made under this Section." 3. This Bylaw may be cited for all purposes as "Traffic Regulation Bylaw, 1971, No. 1117, Amendment Bylaw, 1991, No. 2579 ".
