LIVING PROOF

Living Proof is a program sponsored by the Traffic Safety
Education Department of the Insurance Corporation of British .-
Columbia. Its purpose is to provide public recognition to
persons whose lives were saved or injuries reduced, in a motor
vehicle accident, by their wearing a seat belt or other

restraint.

Since the program was introduced to the province, more than 300
worthy candidates have been identified and approximately 80
awards have been granted. In fact, it “has been surprising to
discover just how many people in British Columbia have come away
alive and sometimes even uninjured from potentially fatal

crashes.

‘The award(s). being granted today is (are) going to someone who,
in the opinion of the Insurance Corporation, is Living Proof

that seat belts work.
