Attention: Mr. A. x, Thozpson, Dear Sir: Rei Garbare Collection Service We wish to advise that at ¢ Tegular meeting of the Municipal Council of Tae Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam held on November i7cth, 1975, the following five recormeadations of our City Engineer, Mr, v.G. Borch, P. Eng., which appear in his letter to tha Public Works s=ittee dated June 18th, 1974, were approved: 1 "On éewelling uni establishzen gerbage pick-up per week Le proved to each residential > to each conzerctal establishment, to each industrial 2 £ te 2. "The garbage pick-up to be linited to no tore than three standard garbege cans weighing no mora than 75 pound each." 3. “Comercial and Industrial establishzents, Apartment, and Fubdlic or Institutional oudldings requiring collection service in excess of three caas once per week wilt be required to make their own arrangemonta,"' 4, "& garbage charge of $24.00 per year to thuse benefiting fron the service to be tnsticuced. It is suggested thet an appropriate nill rate reduction could accompany che institution of a separate charge. Thomoson ~ cont'd, OuR FILE: whatever changea are necessary in order that effect may be given to the five recommendations quoted above, Since the charge is beiag insticuted on 8 calendar year basis there is Probably gone urgency attached to this matter as the By-law should te passed during 1975 and ve vould draw to your attention that the Council very rarely sits during the latter haif of December and that its last teeting will probably be Decenber 15th at which tine the By-law should be ready for final passage, having received ite first three readings on Becenber 8th.
