Department of Highways! communication that iz will be impossible to carry on with our parade cown the provincial highway in ti.e future, we now present to you two proposed parade routes: Number Ore Proposed Route On Pitt River Road between Shaughnessy and Mary Hill where a short piece of Shaughnessy will be the assembly area as communicated on the layout route. The parade will proceed down Shaughnessy to Elgin, from Elgin down Mary Hill, turn left on Mary Hil] down HYawthorne and wil) disperse at Tyner. The reason for proposal of this route fs i surmize that there wili be a saving on labour and material if we ermitted to use this parade route and also to use the #1 and na; to use half of Keliy Street near the Department of Public Works d and the’ blacktop seczion near Kingsway between Willson and Kelly for carnival. ae i estimate that the saving on the cost of city labour and material witli be approximately $4,000 and a saving of approximazely $1,500 with regerd to tents and extra purchasing of materials necessary for bingo, etc. The assembly area will be quite difficult to line up in this case but it can be managed, Number Two Proposed Route . The other parade route proposal will be on Chester between the streets of Coquitlam and Fraser. We will proceed up Chester to Perry, down Perry to Wellington and disperse from Wellington.
