Question: Although I
hhaven’t been able to find any
evidence of water seepage
due to a break in the house
foundation, our basement has
a damp, musty odour that ia
particularly noticeable during
months when the furnace is
not operating. The walls ar2
cinder block and the floor is
concrete. Is there some way I
can get rid of the musty smell?

Answer: If the floor and
walls are sound, the damp
mustiness you mention could
result from moisture conden-
sation in the rooma below

PREPARATION

pre-treatment would be to

as possible before rolling on
this concrete paint. If
old paint on the surfaces to be
covered, this should he re-
moved. On very smooth ‘con-
erete floors, etching with a
muriatic acid golution is ree-
ommended.
