Discovered at the 2009 Granby Intemational Music Festival, where her song “Je tomberai’ won the SOCAN Prize for Best Song, that year was a veritable launch- (OLE Uel cee The same tune also won her the Song of the Year Award at the prestigious “Ma pre- miére place des Arts’ competition. Blending a mixture of influences, ranging from Jean- Pierre Ferland and Richard Desjardins to Cat Power, and the guitar style of PJ Harvey, with melodies reminiscent of Feist, she set out on tour in Quebec, making a hit in Tadoussac and at the Montreal Francofolies. She was singled out by the recording company Audiogram, which produced her first and much anticipated album, entitled “Sous les arbres”. This promising start eamed Salomé a nomination at the 2011 Quebec Music Industry Awards in the category Best New Artist, as well as receiving the “André Dédé Fortin’ prize awarded by the Quebec Society of Singers / Songwiters. Imme- diately recognized by critics, this young artist stood out with her unique- ness, originality and the tremendous sensitivity of her interpretation. With such a strong start, Salomé Leclerc has already eamed a reputation as one of the rising stars on the Quebec music scene. Critics and fans in Canada and in Europe have already enthusiastically welcomed her new album, “27 fois 'aurore’, released on September 23rd, 2014. Abom performer with infectious charisma, David Giguére has attracted alot of attention ever since his first appearances on the Montreal music scene in 2010. With an intense and almost explosive stage presence, David Giguere is an inspired actor and singer-songwriter-composer who combines depth, versatility and originality. He has undertaken ma- jor projects in quick succession, both on stage and on screen, with the distribution of the successful film “Starbuck’ (Ken Scott) in 2011, as well as his rendition of his composition “LAtelier’, taken from his first album “Hisser Haut’ launched in 2012. This song is especially popular on so- cial media, with more than 100,000 hits on Youtube. This album has taken him all over Quebec and as far afield as Brazil. He has also per- formed as opener for famous artists includ- ing Ariane Moffatt, Coeur de Pirate, Benabar and Louis-Jean Cormier. In 2014, he joined forces with producers Jonathan Dauphinais and Jean-Phi Goncalves to deliver a new opus, CASABLANCA. This second album is showing every sign of being a great success, as it has already been nominated at the 2014 Quebec Music Industry Awards for Best Allter- native Album of the Year.
