February 5th, 1979. /7. From the Public Works Committee, January 31st, 1979 recommending that no weight restrictions be imposed on roads in Port Coquitlam. Moved by Aiderman Ranger: Seconded by Alderman Keryluk: That as recommended by the Public Works Committee, January 31st, 1979 no weight restrictions be imposed on roads in Port Coquitlam. Carried. Prior to passage of the foregoing resolution discussion ensued. Alderman Mabbett stated he hoped the Department of Highways would impose weight restrictions on the Lougheed Highway which would help the City of Port Coquitlam with the large trucks coming through the City. Moved by Alderman Mabbett: Seconded by Alderman Traboulay: That a letter be written to the Provincial Department of Highways requesting that weight restriction be imposed on the Lougheed Highway through Port Coquitlam. Carried. From the Public Works Committee, January 3lst, 1979 recommending that the City of Port Coquitlam do not enter into an agreement with an advertising firm for 5us shelters at this time. Moved by Alderman Ranger: Seconded by Alderman Keryluk: That as recommended by the Public Works Committee, January 3lst, 1979 the City of Port Coquitlam do not enter into an agreement with an advertising firm for bus shelters at this time. Carried. From the Public Works Committee, February lst, 1979 recommending that the proposal from Burnett Resource Surveys Ltd. for mapping of the City of Port Coquitlam be accepted for the full amount of work in 1979 and that funds as specified be used to cover the cost. Moved by Alderman Traboulay: Seconded by Alderman Laking: That the recommendation from the Public Works Committee, February ist, 1979 for mapping of the City of Port Coquitlam be referred to 1979 Budget discussions.
