Gentlemen: The Port Coquitlam and District Hunting and Fishing Club would like to bring to your attention that Jack Cewe Ltd., a gravel mining Company, have applied to the Pollution Control Board for a permit to discharge effluent from its operations into the Coquitlam River which will result in further silting of same. The application specifies up to.150 milligrams per litre and up toward 17 000 000 million gallons per day which could result in extreme silting of the lower reaches of the River. We ask that the City of Port Coquitlam voice an objection and ask that this application be stopped until at least a Public Hearing on.the effects of this discharge can be held.
