July 14th, 1975 A regular meeting of the Municipal Council of The Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam was held in the Council Chamber, Port Coquitlam City Hall, 2272 McAllister Avenue, Port Coquitlam, B.C. on July 14th, 1975 at 7:30 p.m. His Worship Mayor J.M.Campbell, Aldermen J.J. Keryluk, G.R. Laking and M.A. Thompson in attendance, Also in attendance were City Clerk R.A. Freeman, City Engineer V.G. Borch, P.Eng., Recreation Director Janna Taylor, Fire Chief W.S. Wingrove, City Planning Officer Lanson Lee, and Mrs. M.K. Warwick. ZONING PUBLIC HEARING: His Worship Mayor J.M. Campbell advised the meeting that the Following By-law to authorize issuance of a Land Use Contract would now be considered: By-law No. 1388: To authorize the Council to enter into a Land Use Contract with Westgate Enterprises Ltd., Ste. 760 - 890 West Pender Street, Vancouver, B.C. in the form and to the extent set forth in "Land Use Contract No. 13" which said Land Use Contract is annexed te and made part of the By-law and the said Land Use Contract No. 13 shall extend to and shall regulate the development and use of land described as: Lot 399, South-west Quarter Section 6, Township 40, Plan 44809, New Westminster District. The above-noted property is a 4.21 acre site located a 2986 Coast Meridian Road and upon its issuance Land Use Contract No. 13 will permit the land, buildings, and structures located or to be located thereat to be used for certain uses permitted in the RM-1 (Low-Density Apartment Residential) Zones as set out in Section 4 of the said Land Wee Coniract No. 13 in order to permit the construction of a residential complex containing 4 apartment buildings containing 40 - two bedroom suites and 36 - three bedroom suites for a total of 76 living units on the said property and various provisions are contained in the said Land Use Contract concerning the size, shape, and siting of buildings and structures and various other matters. The City Clerk advised that a letter had been received from Mr. and Mrs. D. Ross of 2970 Sefton in which they expressed their opposition to such a development taking place on the basis of the lack of adequate Zoning Public Hearing B/law #1388- Land Use Contract #13
