Organizers for the 1992 Milk
Run — the one-day, province-side
run, walk or wheel 3km event —

have announced that this year’s.

event will be held on April 22.

Entering its 14th year, the ©

Milk Run is organized by B.C.
School Sports, the umbrella gov-
erning body for school sport in the
province, with the objective of
actively ‘promoting participation
in physical recreation in school
and raising money for a worth-
while charity.

This year’s recipient will be
the B.C. Blind Sports and Recre-
ation . Association, which is

planning an expansion of its tan-'

dem cycling programs for the
province's 500 to 600 recreational
and elite-level blind athletes,
Opportunities for competition
are steadily increasing for B.C.’s
blind athletes. The financial sup-
port from the Milk Run will allow
them to increase their participa-
tion.in cycling, one of the world’s
most popular sports.
Last’ year, the 1991 Milk Run
raised almost $30,000 for the B.C.
