October 23, 1989/213 A special meeting of the Municipal Council of the Corporation of The City of Port Coquitlam was held in the Council Chambers, Port Coquitlam City Hall, 2580 Shaughnessy Street, Port Coquitlam, B.C. on Monday, October 23, 1989, at 5:00 p.m, His Worship Mayor L.M. Traboulay, Aldermen M.C. Farnworth, M.D. Gates, J.J. Keryluk, W.W. Stewart and M.R. Wright in attendance. Also in attendance were City Administrator B.R. Kirk, City Clerk/Deputy Administrator R.A. Freeman, City Engineer T.M. Chong, and City Treasurer J.C. Maitland. CORRESPONDENCE: From the Village of Anmore, June 27th, 1989 regarding Logging on Eagle Mountain . Moved by Alderman Farnworth: Seconded by Alderman Keryluk: That the Port Coquitlam City Council endorse the Village of Anmore's request that the proposed logging on Eagle Mountain be rescinded and that some other more appropriate place be substituted for any commitments the Forest Service may have in respect to the Small Business Forest Enterprise Program. Carried. REPORTS: Alderman Wright arrived at 5:06 pem. and took his place at the table. From Aiderman Farnworth, October 19th, 1989 regarding The Fraser Valley Regional Library Budget. Moved by Alderman Farnworth: Seconded by Alderman Stewart: That Port Coquitlam support the proposed 1990 budget of the Fraser Valley Reglonal Library Budget. Carried, Moved by Alderman Gates: Seconded by Alderman Keryluk: That Alderman Farnworth bring to the attention of the Fraser Valley Regional Library Board the process and payment of grants from the Provincial Government in that the population growth in the area changes considerably on a yearly basis And That in 1990 a special grant be requested to offset these changes.
