PORT COQUITLAM LIONS CLUB P.O. BOX 2 PORT COQUITLAM, B.C. aver'sy in COUNCIL . OCT 16 1972 Dear Sirs: The Port Coquitlam Lions Club has once again voted to vol- unteer our services re the Annual Young People's Free Halloween Dance. Accordingly, we have booked the Recreation. Centre's Dance Area for Tuesday, October 31st from 8:30 P.M. ‘to 11:30 P.M. We are in the midst of completing the usual arrangements. As in past years, we are requesting a Grant from the City of ' Port Coquitlam, to help cover expenses . We estimate the cost of this event will be $350.00. You will note that the amount requested is $50.00 above last year's request. The reason for this is due to the fact that we have found the popularity cf this event grows each year and, of course, the cost is increasing proportionately. In addition to the above, we request that free skating be allowed -in the Centre during the dance hours , as many of the young people prefer this recreation to dancing. ; Our final arrangements will depend on your approval of the Grant and permission to use the skating facilities. We look forward to hearing from you at your earliest convenience. Yours very truly _ W.
