In view of the. fact that has ra ised severa involving various departments of the City as wel concerns as the School Board it has taken us some time to come up with an adecuate response to your fetter. your'etter your I I Your fetter raises three specific points which a,tempt to address. I wil I Firstly, your observation that the north end of The 3400 block Ulster does not have curbs on the east side is correct. We find this conf iguraf ion to be as you do. Unfo rtunately recent amendments to astheunsatisfactor'y Municipal Act th extent to which the City may demand certain off-site limit works to be completed by developers. Technically speaking the developer is under no obligations to construct more than half of Ulster Street. While us would cer'lainly Ifke to see the east side of Ulster pr'operiy curbed the boulevards landscaped the shortage of Public Works Fundsand precludes this possibility. Secondff, followir g your suggestion of effecting liaison between the School Board the City, have recently discussed this matter with Mr.andCarson of the School Board. He has agreed to look into the pose i bi ity of erecting some concrete no-post guardrai Is to prevent traffic from negotiating around the wooden barricades at the north end of Ulster Street. As we I, he has agreed to investigate improving the appear ance of the School Board propertyintoadjacent to the Leer osse Box. al'f I I 1 I 4 2'g ~ii'-" ~ ~ ird ly, your 't regard ing the condition of the Lacr osse Box is we point takl.n.
