Keith Rice-Jones Yasuo Temda Patrick Horsley Patrick Horley is an internationally recamized ceramic artist from Portland, Cregon. He's been a potter for over 28 years, a college-level instructar, juror for numerous shows, clay body consultant wl workshop leader. His work is in many colleccions throughout che USA. Pacrick's work is strongly influenced by architecture - both primitive and contemporary. He combines many elements (handles, spouts and lids) into work that dances and presents a new view and image of a farniliar form. The upeeming workshop (to be held Saturday, June 27th at the Shadbole Cenere for the Arts) covers thrown and altered forms in idded and mon-lidded shapes. Patrick covers clay information and formulas, tips and problem solving, glace formulas and suggestions for achieving certain surfaces and colours at cone 6 to cone 9 range, He'll be demonstrating press-molded trays over Styrofoam shapes, two piece pitchers, thrown oval lidded casseroles, square lidded jars, chrown square vases, large platters and teapots cut from thrown, shapes with extruded pars.
