the last of his family. Coming to B.C. from Rosshurn,
Manitoba, he had lived in Nelson then Terrace for 15 years
and finally Sicamous where he has resided for the past 23
| years. Joe had served overseas in the Armed forces during
the war, worked in construction and had been a supervisor
for Skeenc Forest Projects, He retired in 1978, Active in the
Masonic Lodge AF & A.M., initiated, passed and raised at
) Kitsilas Lodge #123, Terrace, 8.C. of which he was il
Worshipful Master in 1976, Joa was affiliated with Enderby
Lodge #40 in 1979, was Worshipful Master in 1983, Grand
Marshal in 1987 and District Deputy Grand Master in 1998.
Joe had been the Worthy Patron of the Eastern Star several #9
times and a member cf the Royal Canadian Legion. He was 9 jj

* Road deactivation and rehabilitation: construction of crass
ditches, pulling back sluffing or failing roads, removing current
dralnage structures (culverts and/or bridges, els.)

* Stream -and slope rahablilitation: engineering and repair to
slides and failures, putting structures (LWD and riffles, atc.) Into
fish creeks to create fish habitat.

+ Stream monitoring and evaluation: field work involving review of

* Upslope and road monitoring and evaluation: raviewing road
deactivation work and providing reports as to the success or”

* Stream surveys: flald checking streams to determine if instream
