SUBJECT: REQUEST FOR PLAYGROUNE SIGNS - 2200 BLK. WELCHER AVE.

RECOMMENDATION:
Install 2 “Playground” signs (WC-3) in the 2200 block of Welcher Ave. at a cost of $208.00

BACKGROUND & COMMENTS:

Attached is a letter from the residents of 2214 Welcher Ave. requesting that the Engineering
Dept. install two signs at either end of the 2200 block Welcher to warm motorists of Elks Park.

Children accessing this park should be warned to use caution regarding speeding drivers.
However, while we cannot control speeding it is prudent to warn motorists that a park is in
nearby.
Location of Signs:

-One sign to be instalied on the northside of Welcher approx. 10m east of Donald

St. Park and
-the other sign southside of Welcher approx. 10m west of Donald St. Park
