SMORANDUM Mayor and Council July 22nd, 1980 L.D. Pollock City Administrator Re: Provincial Emerpency Measures Program Our Emergency Measures Coordinator Bob Lajoie may have the opportunity of attending one’ of the Federal Emergency Planning Seminars in Arnprior, Ontario during the month of September. There are only three vacancies allotted to the Province of British Columbia and we have no assurance that Bob will be accepted however he would like to take advantage of the course if the opportunity arises. All of the costs in connection with the course are paid by the Province including accommodation, travelling and meals, etc. however Bob would be required to take the time off at the City's expense and this would amount to approximately $300.00. Bob has been doing an excellent job of coming to grips with the emergency planning in our area and I would recommend that should the opportunity arise for Bob to attend this course that we permit him to attend without loss of salary, “L.D: Pollock City Administrator
