. MEMORANDUM : ” OCT Mayor and Aldermen October 2nd, 1978 R.A. Freeman City Clerk Re: New Zoning By-law ‘ . Our Planning Officer, Mr. Lanson Lee, advises that copies of the City's new Zoning By-law have been distributed to all members of Council and can now receive initial consideration prior to being forwarded to the Zoning Public Hearing. If Council agrees, we would propose the following schedule for process of the By-law: October 10th - (tonight's meeting) First Reading only October 23rd - Second Reading, possibly with a few amendments ; to the By-law as a result of last minute refinements November 6th ~ Holding of Zoning Public Hearing and, if possible, , Third Reading of the By-law November 20th - Third Reading, if not given on November 6th. Immediately after the By-law has been given Third Reading, we would forward it to Victoria for Provincial approval and upon this being received, the By-law would be immediately returned to Council for Final Reading.
