TO: Mayor and Aldermen FROM: R.A. Freeman, City Clerk Under date of May 5th, 1977 the Assistant Municipal Soliciter of the District of Coquitlam advised that the District of Coquitlam wished to alter the present road pattern of Oxford Street and Mason Avenue which form part of the boundary roads between the District of Coquitlam and the City of Port Coquitlam. The extent of the alteration is shown on the plan attached to this memorandum and the portions shown to be "preen" are the portions of road to be closed while the other areas shown within the heavy dark lines are the new roads to be dedicated. A full size copy of this plan will be available at the Council meeting. Since this matter affects boundary line roads the consent of the City of Port Coquitlam is necessary even though all aspects of the proposal are located within the boundaries of the District of Coquitlam. The City's Planning and Zoning Committee was asked to comment on the proposal and under date of May 24, 1977 the Planning Officer, Mr. L. Lee, advised us that "This proposed road exchange was dealt with by the Planning. and Zoning Committee on May 18th and the Committee recommended acceptance of the exchange." In order that this matter might be expedited if Council does wish to give its approval to the proposal we have prepared By-law No. 1545 and a copy of this By-law is attached as available for first three readings. ; TOD Aptian) City Clerk
