CORRESPONDENCE: From the Simon Fraser Union Board of Health, June 30th requesting S.F.H.U. re appt. of Director ratification of the appointment of Dr. John Blatherwick as the Director of the Simon Fraser Heath Unit. Moved by Alderman Traboulay: Seconded by Alderman Mabbett: That as recommended by the Simon Fraser Union Board of Health on June 30th, 1975, the appointment of Dr. John Blatherwick as Director of the Simon Fraser Health Unit be ratified and confirmed. Carried. REPORTS: From Mayor Campbell, July 16th, 1975 reporting on the July 16th Mayor Campbell re July 16/75 G.V.R.D. G.V.R.D. Planning Meeting. A brief discussion ensued with regard to the Planning Mtg. proposed modular home subdivision at Oxbow Ranch and the grounds on which it had been rejected. Alderman Thompson drew the comparison of the site to several areas within the City on which building permits cannot be issued due to elevation problems and enquired what minimum elevation had been used to permit building at Oxbow. Mayor Campbell noted that this subject had not been discussed and would investigate the matter further. From the Planning and Zoning Committee, July 24th, 1975.with regard P & Z Committee re zoning for to zoning regulations governing public buildings with specific refere.-- public bldgs. to the proposed new fire hall. Moved by Alderman Thompson: Seconded by Alderman Mabbett: That as recommended in the report from the Planning and Zoning Committee, July 24th, 1975, the development and use of public buildings should comply with all relevant by-law regulations. Moved by Alderman Thompson: Deferral of P & Z rpt. to Aug.25/75ยง Seconded by Alderman Traboulay: That the above-noted resolution be deferred until August 25th, 1975. Carried. Prior to passage of the above resolution it was noted by the City Planning Officer that several public buildings are presently incorrectly zoned and an attempt is being made to correct this. Considerable concern was expressed with regard to the usage of the second floor of the proposed new Fire Hall and the zoning required for the various Proposed uses of
