The Board of School Trustees, through the District Superintendent of Schools, has discussed the matter of litter at schools with the principals of the schools several times recently. The schoalse are, therefore, aware of the problem and are doing as much as possible to keep litter to a mininun. In addition to the education programme, I believe you are aware that the Maintenance Department has provided three metal litter con- tainers at Port Coquitlam Secondary School and two at the Mary Hill _ Secemdary School. Ag well, containers have been provided for the i Mary Hill, Central and Viscount Alexander Elementary Schools. i On Monday of each week personnel from the Groundn Department sre __ detailed to clean up the litter surrounding the Viscount Alexander, Mary Hill Secondary, Mary Hill Elementary and Central Elementary Schools. In addition: to this, the employees mowing grasa through the summer season are requested to remove litter from these aerean.
