Gallery of BC Ceramics Statement of Income (Loss), Summary 1992 1993 Year to date Year to date Revenue Sales 128,445 125,396 Other [eon L172 1,220 Gross Income 129,617 126,617 Direct Expenditures Commissions T?,l48 62,825 Total 80,287 65,800 Ret Income before Expenses 493.0 60,817 Administration Expenses 51,117 $1,208 Excess of Receipts over Expenditures (1,786) 4,609 Gillian McMillan As you can see above. the year-to-date net income figures for the ten months ending on Octeber 31, 1983 are much improved over the same period in 1992, While Guild expenditures have changed but a little, it is the Guild receipts that have increased vastly because of the Gallery's change in consignment percentage (remember that any Gallery receipts in excess of its monthly expenses are part of the Guild's monthly income for accounting purposes). Exeept for the holiday month of December, the Gallery is into its bradithonally slower sales months until spring. The Guild will be incurring larger than usual iegal costs over the next six months or so to pay for the Northwest Ceramic Foundation’s legal inception. This will be a short term pain for a long term gain, in that this new body can be seen both as a potential funding source for the Guild and as another public voice for the ceramic arts. Please have a careful look over the financial summary above, and feel free to express your concerns and thoughts to me personally, and better yet, come to the Annual General Mecting on February 24th, 199-4.
