Trade show coming
here April 26-28

WHEN IT looked like the annual trade
show would falter back in the early
1990s, the Terrace and District Chamber
of Commerce responded.

And this year marks one decade of the
chamber taking the lead in mounting the
northwest's most comprehensive trade
show.

It takes place April 26, 27 and 28 in
the Terrace arena.

Each year’s show has had a theme and
the one for 2002 is no different. The
theme is “Restoring Our Economy” with
the intent of stimulating discussion and
interest in moving the northwest along to
a renewed level of economic activity,
says chamber manager Linda Bell.

“We're going to have an awful lot of
vehicles and boats this year,” said Bell in
examining the line up of attendees.

She estimates that half af the 82
booths have already been booked and is
expecting more to be taken up before the
end of the month.

Although the trade show keys on busi-
ness and business development, it’s also
very much a community event.

I’m happy to say we'll have entertain-
ment again. I think the stage show last
year was great,” said Bell.

As in past years, individual booths will
provide door prizes and there will be an
overall larger one for those attending the
event.

An Alberta-based trade show presenta-
tion company returns with a display pack-
age to give the trade show an overall look
of consistency.

In addition to local people altending,
the shaw also attracts people from around
the northwest.

It's Winter in Terrace
