Social Perspective on the Coquitlam River', on the study of the
Coquitlam River undertcken for your cornmittee. ,

This report sets out our approach to the assignment, a brief sum-
mary of the technical information on which our findings were based and
leads right into our conclusions and recommendations. The more de-
tailed technical information on the study area, and appropriate maps
and illustrations are contained in a separate Technical Appendix V olurne
that is being delivered under separate cover to your committee. .

You will realize from our report and from discussions that we have
had with you, that we consider the policy and institutional aspects of
solutions to management problems related to the river to be more im- mo
portant than the technical consideration, most of which have, in our. _
Opinion, been well covered in earlier studies and reports. oO CS
