Skeena Sawmills gained confidence after their tour- nament victory in Prince Rupert and it showed in the first period of this match- up. As anticipated, a confi- dent Skeena Sawmills team came out strong in the first period with two early goals. The score stayed 2-0 until the second period when Taylor Street put Ken's Trucking on the board. Skeena Sawmills ran in to penalty trouble in the second. Play was shifting back and forth the entire period with the crowd on the edge of their seats until the buz- zer, With two minutes left, there was a scramble in front of the Ken's: Trucking net. Skeena Sawmills conti- nued to jam away alt the puck and eventually it found a way across the goal line, making the score 5-4. With their goaltender pulled for a sixth attacker, Skeena Sawmills dominated play in the final minute, pressing to tie up the game. However, Ken's Trucking, was able to hold on in yet another an exciting finish, as the final score was 5-4.
