Great fin -Shoot- outs add thrills IT WAS a super exciting finish this year in Terrace Youth Soccer. The Giaals had some real heart-stopping games and many of them even went to shoot-outs. ‘We had both some up- sets and some predictable finishes,’ says Bev Bujtas of the league. ‘Tt was a very good playoffs.” In the Under-12 boys divi- sion, Sockeye FC ended up taking the championships. Those two finalists had placed just third and fourth in regular season play. It took some gritty determina- tion to get them to the championship match. Full-time ended in a tie so the game went to a nail- biting shoot-out. When it was all over, Northem Drugs came out on top with a 43 victory. The girls started with a 4- 3 shootout win over Rossco, then went on to lose 3-2 in a shoot-out against Tkon. The Under-16 boys saw the Constrictors tackle Tak- har. This was a close, but high-scoring game that ‘ended up in a 6-5 Con- strictors win. The league play winners, meanwhile, were McEwan, who finished first in regular play.
