After re ading available material, talking to a variety of ;.aople of different positions, and conducting a public forum on the issue March 9th, the committee has prepared the enclosed brief which we would like to present to you. We would appreciate it if you would read our brief and support the following motion in council: The city council rejects the use of chloramine as a secondary disinfectant and. recommends to the GVRD that we implement full filtration of all water sources as outlined in Option 3 in the bookiet - GVRD Drinking Water Treatment and Supply Strategies. Option three provides the cleanest water and requires fewer rechlorination stations for a secondary treatment.
