RECOMMENDATION :

That the Fraser River Harbour Commission be informed that the City has no
objections to the application by the Ministry of Transportation and Highways
to place fill to widen the east approaches to Pitt River Bridge and to install
underwater cables beneath the swing span of each bridge (FREMP Projects
49308-110).

BACKGROUND:

The City recently received a referral from t-> Fraser Kiver Harbour
Commission pertaining to a proposal by the Minis of Transportation and
Highways to widen the approaches to the Pitt Riv ridge on the east side in
the District of Pitt Meadows. This referral enai the City to comment on
whether or not the proposals within FREMP's area v. jurisdiction may conflict
with the City's existing or proposed use of lands above the high water line.
