resulting in mechanical Pump problems caused by the water which was pumped
through the diaphragm.

Several suppliers have been contacted to repair the pump, however, due to
the pumps age, suppliers no longer carry the cutdated parts.

At present, crews are lining up for longer durations waiting for fuel.

Recently, two diesel vehicles were found with water in the fuel systems.
the cost to repair the injectors of the two units was $1,600.

The estimated cost of replacing the existing diesel pump system is $24,500.

Would you kindly subnit the request to the Public Works Committee for
approval.
