i J 7 “| i j i i December 18, 1989/266 A regular meeting of the Municipal Council of the Corporation of The City of Port Coquitlam was held in the Council Chambers, Port Coquitlam City Hall, 2580 Shaughnessy Street, Port Coquitlam, B.C. on Monday, December 18, 1989, at 7530 p.m. His Worship Mayor L.M, Traboulay, Aldermen M.D. Gates, M.C, Farnworth, J.J. Keryluk, G.R. Laking, W.W. Stewart, and M.R. Wright in attendance. Also in attendance were City Clerk/Deputy Administrator R.A. Freeman, City Engineer T.M. Chong, and Director of Community Planning W.A. Brown. CONFXRMATION OF MINUTES: Moved by Alderman Laking: Seconded by Alderman Stewart: That the minutes of the Public Hearing and the Regular Council meeting held on December 4th, 1989, be taken as read and adopted. Carried. DELEGATIONS: His Worship Mayor LL.M, traboulay introduced Ms. Sandra Goldsby, 2143 York Place who addressed Council regarding traffic through York Place Lane. Goldsby presented a 24 name petition objecting to the placement of barriers at the end of the lane between Western Drive and York Place. Moved by Alderman Farnworth: seconded by Alderman Stewart: That the representations of Ms. Sandra Goldsby regarding the recent closure of York Place lane be referred to the Public Works Committee for investigation and report. Carried. His Worship Mayor LL.M. Traboulay introduced Ms. Gail M. Alty, President, District 43 Parent Teacher Council who addressed Council regarding a Parent Teacher Council Brief on Traffic Safety Concerns. it wag generally agreed that this subject should be further discussed by the Public Works Committee, His Worship Mayor L.M, Traboulay introduced Mr. Ken Cameron and Mr. Rick Hankin of the Greater Vancouver Regional District who answered questiors regarding the G.V.R.D. Parks and Development Services Functions.
