September 14, 1987 /227 The property is focated at 3950 Newberry Street and the rezoning would permit the subdivision of the property for residential purposes. The following people were present at the Zoning Public Hearing and expressed their views on the proposed rezoning: Mr. T. Gardner, 1109 Lynwood Avenue who presented a petition to Council regarding the use of Wedgewood Street and Lynwood Avenue. Mr. Le Osborne, 1319 Apel Drive who was concerned as ty. whether or not Lynwood would become an artery. The Dirsctor of Community Planning replied that Lynwood Avenue is designated as a collector road and the long term intentions are to connect Lynwood further to the east to The Mars Street subdivision. Mr. Osborne asked if there were any plans to change the traffic patterns on Apel particularly the dangerous corner at Ape! and Victoria Drive. The City Engineer indicated that eventually it would be upgraded, but at this time there is no budget for upgrading. Mr, Osborne then referred to the incorrect advertisement in the joca! paper and his concern that people may be mislead by this information. Mr. B. Allen, 1255 Plymouth Crescent spoke regarding his concern that +his access wil! create further traffic problems with the number of children in the area and suggested a three way stop at Plymouth Crescent and Lynwood Avenue at the eastern end. Mr. Allen mentioned his concern that a possible fisheries stream at the east portion of Plymouth Crescent had been covered over. Alderman Gates replied that fisheries are aware of all construction in the City , but that the Environmental Protection Committee would jook into the matter. Mr. H.
