Recommendation:

That the May Day Float participate in the parades for Dogwood
Days and Pitt Meadews Days.

Background & Comments

The policy of Couneil has been that the May Day Float be entered
in Pitt Meadows Days only. However since that policy came into
effect Coquitlam, last year, initiated a parade for their Dogwood
Days. It would seem moat appropriate to participate in our
neighbouring community parades. We hav. been issued an
invitation to put our float in the Dogwood Days parade. The cost
for a driver etc. would be $204.00 per parade and this would come
out of the May Day budget.
