A regular meeting of the Municipal Council of The Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam was held in the Council Chamber, Port Coquitlam City Hall, 2272 McAllister Avenue, Port Coquitlam, B. C. on June 19th, 1978. His Worship Mayor J.M. Campbell, Aldermen J.J. Keryluk, G.R. Laki1g,, E.W. Mabbett, P.F. Ranger, L.M. Traboulay and M.A. Thompson in attendance. Also in attendance were Chief Administrative Officer L.D. Pollock, City Clerk R.A. Freeman, City Engineer F.E. Peters, P. Eng., Fire Chief W.S. Wingrove, Deputy Fire Chief J. Boileau, Recreation Director Janna Taylor, Works & Utilities Superintendent G.W. Ulmer and Mrs. D.L. Vyse. CONFIRMATION OF MINUTES: Minutes - Moved by Alderman Ranger: June 12th, 1978 Seconded by Alderman Laking: That the minutes of the regular meeting of this Council held on June 12th, 1978 be taken as read and adopted. Carried. DELEGATIONS : Alderman Ranger then asked that the agenda be amended to include Delegation — re Discontinuing | consideration of a petition from Mr. A. Michelis, 1684 Robertson Avenue, burning - Camrose Dev. ~ Lougheed with signatures from 87 residents of the residential area surrounding Hwy. (petition) the Camrose Development asking that the developer discontinue burning immediately. Moved by Alderman Ranger: Seconded by Alderman Keryluk: That the petition with 87 signatures, as presented by Mr. A. Michelis, 1684 Robertson Avenue, to have the developer, Mr. W. Szafranski, discontinue burning immediately in the Camrose Development area, be added to the agenda and discussed this evening. Carried. Mr. Michelis then read the petition clarifying the points of contention. Discussion then ensued with Alderman Keryluk stating that he had done a survey of approximately 20 residents and they had no objection to allowing the developer to continue burning until Thursday at sundown when the developer would have done enough burning to continue with the development, deferring further burning until the Fall.
