November 29th, 1976 Alderman Keryluk drew attention to the speeding problem on Burns Road, and he suggested that the R.C.M.P. be requested to investigate the situation and report back to Council as to what appropriate action could be taken. Alderman Ranger advised that on inquiring of Mayor Campbell as to whether or not he would be in accord with having his name put forward for the position of Chairman of the Greater Vancouver Regional District in 1977, he had stated he would be, and the following motion was then proposed: Moved by Alderman Ranger: Seconded by Alderman Traboulay: That the Municipal Council of The Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam endorse the candidacy of Mayor J.M. Alderman Laking stated he would like a full report on the status of the proposed Huntington Rubber industrial development, as apparently nothing has been done since the rezoning was completed, and Acting-Mayor Alderman Thompson requested the Administration and Engineering Departments to attend to this matter.
