/6. April 28th, 1975 Ald.Thompson re Community Rec. Resource Cll.-Resource Council last Thursday guidelines were set up and stated these guidelines,etc. Alderman Thompson advised that at a meeting of the Community Recreation would be presented to the Council next Monday. Alderman Thompson then introduced Mr. M. Rogers, Chairman of the C.R.R.C., who was elected to that position at the meeting aforementioned. Ald.Traboulay re Alderman Traboulay referred to copies of letters sent to the School letters to School Bd. "74-inform.on Board last year advisin residential devel. in City g of residential development taking place in the City that the Council had received, and commented that no such copies have been provided this year. The City Engineer advised that he had made this information available to the School Board last year, and while he had discontinued that practice, he stated he understood it was being carried on by the City's Planning Officer. # Ald. Traboulay- Notice of Motion re stump burning part of the City's Subdivision By-law, and he gave Notice of a Motion he Alderman Traboulay then referred to the fact that stump burning is intended to make to amend that part of the Subdivision By-law in view of the increased development going on in this community. Ald. Traboulay- Alderman Traboulay stated he had noted there are no funds allocated funds for X/walk | lights in the Budget for crosswalk lights, and advised that as he believed there should be funds set aside for a light for the crosswalk on Shaughnessy Street adjacent to the I.G.A. shopping centre, he would introduce this item during budget discussions later this evening. Ald. Laking- Aiderman Laking referred to a letter from Mr. and Mrs. @. MacDonald cemetery marker f problem- concerning the problem of a grave marker in the children's section of i children's section the cemetery sinking approximately 2" below ground level. Mr. MacDonald was in attendance at the meeting and he advised that on visiting the grave site he had noted the marker had sunk and that that section of tne cemetery was generally in an untidy state. The City Engineer advised that Mr. and Mrs. MacDonald had requested a base to raise the grave marker, and that he had explained to them that this is not permitted in the children's section of the cemetery; however, he stated he would endeavour to have the problem of the sunker: marker corrected, Ald.Keryluk re Alderman Keryluk referred to advice he had received from Mr. John mosquito control programme Nelson, Vector Control Officer, that mosquito spraying will commence on May ist, and that it was suggested that beekeepers contact Mr. Nelsen who will inform them prior to spraying being carried out. Alderman Keryluk suggested that the press take note of this information, and Mayor Campbell stated his understanding that the press was already aware of that item.
