Dear Mr. Pollock, Tais year the Coquitlam School District will again be host to a groun of young visitors, 16 ~ 18 years of ase (grade 11) and theiy escorts, who vill be barticinating in the Young Voyageurs Programme. Eleven girls, ten boys and two eccorts will be comins from Ottawa August 4th to August 12th. Similarly, twenty one students and two escorts from the Coquittan district will be travelling to Sevt Iles (Soven Islands), Quebec, July Sth to July 17th, The primary aim of this programme is to give a student the experience of living with a family in another part of Canada. Other major aims are: ~ to foster the sense of the meaning of Canadian citizenship through first hand acquaintance with other parts of Canada, including the capital - Ottawa, ~- to give exserience to the young adults in plenniag, working, and living os part of a group.
