They downed the Prince Rupert Seamen 36-0 on March 31. Rob Sarich and Emie Dusdal had two trys each. Tony Pool and Graham Bayles scared one each, The Northmen are also helping initiate an under-19 school rugby program at Caledonia. Practices go every Tuesday and Thursday afternoon at 3:30. Junior high players are welcome. Northmen spekesperson David D. Hail says they hope to start playing games against Smithers and Prince Rupert within the next couple of weeks. You can register individually or as a team. The cost is $5 per person and $8 per team and there must be a minimum of three women on each team, Games are scheduled twice a week. Pounding the pavement THE SMITHERS running club took first place at a March 30 relay race from Prince Rupert to Terrace. The race began at 7 a.m. and Smithers finished at 5:15 p.m. Rupert took second and the 16 Terrace mmnners placed third, finishing at 5:36 p.m. The Hazelton club came in fourth and the handful of mm- ners from Aiyansh did not finish, A van from each club followed the runners along the route and each once ran for five to ten kilometres before being spelled off. Terrace runners are now preparing for the Glory Days race in Prince Rupert May 11. There are both 5 and 10K routes.
