Sign By-law Revision - Flashing Signs In accerd with the instructions of. Council issued on April 14th, 1980 notice that the Council presently has under consideration a proposal that would permit any sign erected on property fronting on the Lougheed Highway or on Shaughnessy Street to flash providing the property on which the sign is erected is zoned for a Commercial use was advertised in the local newspapers and many groups and. individuals were contacted. Advertisements were placed in the Enterprise of April 23rd and 30th; the Herald of April 22nd and 29th; and the Sunday Herald of April 27th and May 4th.. A list of the individuals and companies contacted is attached to tiis memorandum and in addition to the names on the list we would advise that individual notice was given to all property owners and occupants along the portions of Lougheed Highway and Shaughnessy Street affected as well as to the properties in the immediate vicinity. A map is available showing the precise area covered. The closing time stated for receipt of replies was 12:00 noon, Friday May 9th, 1980 and copies of all replies are attached. Mr. Eric Nikolopoulos, owner of the Casa Roma Restaurant, has advised me that he wishes to address the Council on this subject.
