THE CORPORATION OF THE CITY OF PORT COQUITLAM 0 | JUL 24 i978 MEMORANDUM TO: Mayor and Council . July 21st, 1978 FROM: LL.D. Pollock, ' City Administrator Re: Ricard Subdivision - Pitt River Road . Council will recall that we have been processing a rezoning from RS-2 to RS-1 of certain lands lying between ‘Pitt River Road and Taylor Street for residential subdivision. Mr. Ricard has pointed out a problem that he has encountered with finalizing the purchase of: a portion of this land which will make it impossible for him to develop five lots at the westerly end of the property including the extension of the lane which runs parailel to Knappen. In view of the fact that this change makes the rezoning somewhat different than that presented at the Public Hearing, our Solicitors advise that a further zoning by-law would have to be prepared including a further public hearing in usder to achieve the rezoning of the revised area. A plan is attached showing the new configuration. The portion of land lying to the west of Knappen and extending to Pitt River Road will be left in RS~2 zoning at this time. MON ATM a eet y AOR LEA Rect This question has come up rather unexpectedly and the Planning and Zoning Committee have not had a chance to consider the implications of the zoning change. The Committee is aware, however, that the matter is being placed on the Agenda for Council consideration. We will prepare the necessary amending zoning by-law and have it ready for Council's consideration on Monday evening. It is expected that if the by-law can be given two readings on Monday evening a public hearing could be set for the next regular Council Meeting which is August 14th, 1978. s 4 i 4 ¥ & i : d 3 z t i 5 a § L.D.
