ox COUN QCT 17 1977 Mayor and Aldermen October 4th, 197 R.A. Freeman City Clerk Re: Property Exchange ~— Langan Avenue and Kingsway A rearrangement of the road pattern and property exchange has been in process for some time now — starting in late 1975. A copy of a proposed Subdivision Plan is reproduced on the reverse side of this memorandum and Council will note that two lots are porposed to be created, numbers 49 and 50. Council will note from the dotted lines that portions of former road and lane allowance are included in the Subdivision and it is proposed that these’ road and lane allowances be sold to the Developer and the Developer will then convey Lot 50 to the City. It is my understanding that Lot 50 will be used in the future to provide an improved intersection where Langan Avenue joins Kingsway. In order to complete this transaction, might we suggest Council give consideration to the following resolutions: — . ‘Ll. "That Parcel "A" (By-law Plan 50121) of Block 7 of District Lot 288, Group One, Plan 2111, New Westminster District, be sold to Roy Alfred Bishop, 6215 Fraser Street, Vancouver, B.C. at or for the sum of One Dollar ($1.00) . and other valuable consideration; AND THAT His Worship the Mayor and City Clerk be authorized to execute the necessary documents therefor on behalf of the City and affix the Corporate Seal thereto." 2. "That Lot 50 of a Subdivision Plan of Lots 1 to 21, inclusive, Block 7, Plan 2111 and 0.814 Parcel (By-law Plan 50121) of Pian 2111, District Lot 288, Group One, New Westminster District, be purchased from Roy Alfred Bishop, 6215 Fraser Street, Vancouver, B.C. at or for the price or sum of One Dollar ($1.00) and other valuable consideration; AND THAT His Worship the Mayor and City Clerk be authorized to execute the necessary documents therefor on behalf of the City and affix the Corporate Seal thereto." A copy of a memorandum dated December llth, 1975, addressed to the City Engineer is attached and Council will note that the procedure it is now asked to finalize was authorized on December 8th, 1975.
